A space where you don't have to hide parts of yourself

Therapy is a space where you can bring the parts of yourself you may have learned to hide — the thoughts, feelings, fears and experiences that can feel difficult to share elsewhere — and be met with compassion rather than judgment.

Together, we gently explore what is happening beneath the surface: the patterns you find yourself repeating, the beliefs you carry about yourself, the ways you have learned to protect yourself, and how your past may still be shaping the way you relate to yourself and others today.

Our work is not about fixing who you are. It is about developing a deeper awareness of yourself and creating space for parts of you that may have been pushed away, silenced or left behind.

And we don't only talk about what is happening. When it feels right, I integrate experiential and body-based work to help you notice what is happening in the present moment — in your emotions, your body and your nervous system. This allows therapy to become something you experience, rather than only something you understand intellectually.

Over time, the aim is to help you feel more connected to yourself, more able to trust what you feel and need, and freer to live from who you are rather than from the patterns you once needed to survive.

You don't need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. We can begin exactly where you are.

MY APPROACH

My Therapeutic Approach

My work is grounded in Gestalt psychotherapy, a relational and experiential approach that explores how you experience yourself and the world in the here and now. Rather than looking at the past in isolation, we become curious about how unfinished experiences continue to show up in your present — in your relationships, emotions, choices and ways of responding.

I integrate trauma-informed, somatic and nervous-system-informed practices alongside traditional talking therapy. Depending on what emerges in a session, this might involve bringing attention to bodily sensations, working experientially with different parts of yourself, exploring what is happening between us in the therapeutic relationship, or experimenting with new ways of expressing and responding.

The aim is not simply to understand why you are the way you are, but to develop greater awareness of how you are living now — and, from that awareness, discover where you have more choice than you may have realised.
